Every rate on this site is a real number you can read before you call. Almost nobody in this market does that — most competitors will only say “free estimate.”

How much does lawn mowing cost in Southaven and the Memphis metro?
A typical quarter-acre subdivision lot runs $45–$65 per cut, half-acre lots $65–$100, and anything over an acre starts at $100+. Those ranges line up with the local market data: LawnStarter puts the Memphis average mow at $49.40, Master Lawn publishes $43–$64 per visit for Memphis and Olive Branch, and Southaven's Odyssey Lawn Care advertises “starting at $50 per cut.” Our full breakdown lives on the pricing page.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. Recurring mowing runs week to week or every other week and you can stop it with a call. Commercial and HOA work is the exception — those are written seasonal or annual agreements because the property needs a guaranteed schedule and a fixed budget line.
How often should my lawn be mowed here?
Through the peak of a Mississippi summer, Bermuda needs cutting every 2–3 days to stay textbook, and Mississippi State Extension notes bermudagrass puts on roughly 65–75% of its total growth between mid-June and mid-August. Realistically, weekly service keeps a warm-season lawn in good shape May through September; bi-weekly works in spring and fall, and for shaded fescue lawns most of the year.
What is a first cut and why does it cost more?
If the yard is knee-high, the first visit is a different job: double-cutting, bagging or raking heavy clippings, and clearing debris hiding in the grass. That first cut is $75–$150+ depending on how far gone it is, then you drop onto the normal recurring rate from the next visit forward.
